FAQ

As licensed providers, we must adhere to the requirements set out by our State Boards. If we do not comply with these standards, we risk possible disciplinary action.

State Boards routinely request Standardized Policies & Procedures when following up due to a complaint or initiating an investigation. If proper Standardized P&Ps have not been developed, implemented and/or completed, disciplinary action may be taken not only against the provider, but also any provider who works within the practice and the practice itself.

Attorneys who promote "templates" are promoting just that - templates. The Clinical aspect of Aesthetic Medical P&Ps can only be written by those who have the clinical experience and education to write these. These take an exorbitant amount of time to write; someone offering a templated version is offering you a basic outline that you will need to finalize with the clinical information.

I had my own licensing issue occur due to Standardized Procedures in Aesthetics. My entire world stopped. It was the most challenging time I have ever faced within my career. It was hard to carry this around because it could have been avoided. I promised myself through this experience, I would help others in this field. I have been a Registered Nurse for 25 years. My background includes both direct patient and in-direct patient care. I have extensive experience in Oncology, IV Therapies, Research Nurse, Clinical Trial Educator, Nursing Education & Aesthetics. I began working in the Aesthetic Field in 2007. I remember thinking this was the wild wild west. Through my own mistakes & errors, I have learned a lot in this Field. In an effort to right my wrong, I have dedicated myself to helping others in this field - beginning with the countless hours I've spent researching, writing & developing Standardized P&Ps. I have worked with several attorneys, physicians & nurses. I have developed long-lasting relationships, supporting my peers & providing Education. It is my mission is to bring this field together, and to support one another.

It is true: We don't know what we don't know... So we need to educate ourselves and others. "Traditional Healthcare" is rapidly changing. Providers are shifting their focus, with amazing opportunities that weren't apparent 15-20 years ago. This alone brings on a whole set of challenges, including additional scrutiny from our State Boards. It is my mission to bring us all together, to support & educate each other in this field.
